When Thompson committed suicide in 2005, it was the end of a unique friendship filled with both betrayal and understanding.

Woman has SEX CHANGE to avoid paying off debts

Standard

MOST people seek advice in paying off debts but one woman tried to get out of paying them by having a SEX CHANGE.

By Andy Wells/Published 29th January 2014

bills, debts, taxes, sex change, natalya, andrian, operation, bailiffs, russiaDRASTIC: The woman became a man in an attempt to avoid paying back debts [GETTY]

The Russian woman, known only as Natalya, had built up debts of around £2,200 and was being pursued by bailiffs.

At her wits end, she made the dramtic decision to have a complete sex change operation in an attempt to become a different person and avoid having to make the repayments.

Bailiffs said: “The debtor changed gender to try to escape liabilities.

“During our investigation, we found out that the woman doesn’t exist anymore, and now a man exists.”

Now a man called Andrian, he got a new passport with completely different details and managed to borrow even more money.

“If a debtor thinks he can escape that way, he’s very much mistaken”

Bailiff spokeswoman Yevgenia Zarynsh

However, he will still have to pay the debts back, despite his decision to change sex.

Bailiff spokeswoman Yevgenia Zarynsh added to AFP: “He will be liable all the same, despite the gender change.

“It’s futile. He’ll still have to pay them back.

“If a debtor thinks he can escape that way, he’s very much mistaken.”

Andrian, who has built up more debts in the form of unpaid taxes, is still on the run.

Route 66 Facts and Trivia
•Current maps do not include old Route 66.
•Route 66 is 2448 miles long. (about 4000 km)
•Route 66 was commissioned in 1926, picking up as many as possible bits and pieces of existing road.
•Route 66 crosses 8 states and 3 time zones.
•Route 66 starts in Chicago, and ends in L.A. (Santa Monica).
Some people think driving it in the opposite direction is historically wrong, but it’s mainly a lot harder as all available documentation goes the “right” way.
•In 1926 only 800 miles of Route 66 were paved. Only in 1937 Route 66 got paved end-to-end.
•You can only drive parts of Route 66 these days… it has been replaced by the interstate highways I-55, I-44, I-40, I-15 and I-10, but still a surprisingly high amount of old road is waiting to be found by the more adventurous traveler.
•Route 66 is also know as “The Mother Road”, “The Main Street of America” and “The Will Rogers Highway”.
•During all of its life, Route 66 continued to evolve, leaving many abandoned stretches of concrete, still waiting to be found by the more adventurous traveler.
•Route 66 was also the title of a TV series playing from 1960 till 1964
•Cyrus Stevens Avery from Tulsa Oklahoma can be called the father of Route 66
•In 1985 Route 66 was officially decommissioned, but for daily use it was replaced far earlier by the Interstates.

THE SUMMER OF LOVE

http://youtu.be/qI-Ji4gtBPM

The Year of the Hippie

In the mid-1960s, young people who embraced a non-traditional lifestyle began moving into the Haight neighborhood of San Francisco. As had earlier groups like Beatniks and Hipsters, they rejected mainstream society, but their taste for rock music and wild colors was new.  Some tagged this group as junior-grade Hipsters — “hippies” for short. An underground newspaper, The San Francisco Oracle, chronicled the movement, often with psychedelic flair.

In October 1966, a group of San Francisco hippies staged a Love Pageant. As stories and images of hippies spread, thousands of young Americans flooded the city, wanting to witness or be part of the action.  A year later — after the 1967 “summer of love” — San Francisco hippies performed a rite they called “The Death of the Hippie.”

Oklahoma City

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

State Capital

City of Oklahoma City
Oklahoma City is the capital of the U.S. state of Oklahoma and its largest city. The county seat of Oklahoma County,[3] the city ranks 29th among United States cities in population.[4] As of the 2012 census, the population was 599,199.[5] In 2010 the Oklahoma City metropolitan area had a population of 1,252,987,[6] and the Oklahoma City-Shawnee Combined Statistical Area had a population of 1,322,249 residents,[7] making it Oklahoma’s largest metropolitan area. Oklahoma City’s city limits extend into Canadian, Cleveland, and Pottawatomie counties, though much of those areas outside of the core Oklahoma County area are suburban or rural (watershed). The city ranks as the eighth-largest city in the United States by land area (including consolidated city-counties; it is the second-largest city in the United States by land area whose government is not consolidated with that of a county).

Oklahoma City features one of the largest livestock markets in the world.[8] Oil, natural gas, petroleum products and related industries are the largest sector of the local economy. The city is situated in the middle of an active oil field and oil derricks dot the capitol grounds. The federal government employs large numbers of workers at Tinker Air Force Base and the United States Department of Transportation’s Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center (these two sites house several offices of the Federal Aviation Administration and the Transportation Department’s Enterprise Service Center, respectively).
